Brake bleeders help flush air out of your vehicle’s brake fluid lines, resulting in more responsive braking. While auto mechanics can flush your brake fluid for you, you can do it yourself with some know-how and a brake bleeding kit.
Depending on how many times you have previously done this, it can take around 30-45 minutes to bleed your brakes.
What happens if brakes are not bled correctly?
If your brakes aren't bled correctly, air bubbles can become trapped, which will reduce hydraulic pressure and make your brakes less effective.
Can you bleed brake fluid without removing wheels?
Yes, wheels can be kept on your vehicle while bleeding the brakes. It's important, however, that your car is safely raised on jack stands before beginning to bleed the brakes.
Does the engine need to be running to bleed brakes?
The engine must be switched off when bleeding the brakes; if your engine is running, it will send a boost to your brake system. So, to ensure a successful brake bleed, turn the engine off and pump the brake pedal until it feels solid.
Please Note:
You have selected 1 x brake disc quantity. Brake discs are recommended to be changed in pairs. If you want to change both brake discs on your vehicle, please change the qty to 2.
