For your safety and that of other road users, you must replace your handbrake drum as soon as it starts to show signs of wear. To find a new handbrake drum, look no further than the range of quality parts here at Eurocarparts.com.
The brake drum operates alongside the brake pedal and shoe. When the pedal is pressed, the brake shoe is pressed along the inside of the drum; this friction helps the vehicle to slow down and eventually stop.
If the rear of your vehicle starts to shake or pull to one side, this can be a sign of faulty brake drums. You might also feel a vibration when pressing down the brake pedal.
It's not recommended to drive with faulty brake drums. Doing so can result in uneven braking power, which in turn can be dangerous to you and other drivers.
